Witch of Hellridge

Aleksandra Kozar

Writer. Witch. Chaos incarnate. I survive on caffeine, sarcasm, and the sheer force of ADHD-powered creativity. Mother of twins (yes, they’re feral), I write romantic disasters wrapped in emotional daggers, sprinkled with magic and the occasional stabby heroine.

My fictional universe is an ever-growing multiverse of supernatural drama, swoony enemies, awkward feelings, and ancient curses — basically therapy, but with more werewolves.

When not yelling at my characters or dodging plot holes, I'm probably translating my own books into Polish, stress-duddling, or forgetting why I walked into a room.

More About Me

I’ve been telling stories since I could hold a pen (and possibly before that, if my childhood lies count). With a master’s degree in Human Biology (yep, I’m technically a “magister” — which sounds much more magical than it actually is), I was supposed to be a Serious Science Person™. Instead, I chose the far more stable path of writing novels about witches, werewolves, ghostly pirates, emotionally constipated hokey team captains,

I write like I live: chaotically, emotionally, and with too many tabs open. I'm a fan of found family, slow burns, ancient curses, queer joy, and stories that punch you in the feelings and then kiss the bruise.

This isn’t just a writing career — it’s my rebellion. My healing. My fight song in the shape of a book.

2nd place - The Alpha's Substitute Bride - the first original story I ever finished and published.

    I’m still in shock.

Writing

It starts with “what if” and ends with me sobbing over fictional people at 3 a.m. I call it a career; my family calls it “that thing you do where you forget to eat.” Plotting is optional. Feelings and chaos? Non-negotiable.

Reading

I read like it’s a competitive sport and I’m playing against the heat death of the universe. If a book makes me cry, I will recommend it to everyone I love (you’re welcome). My TBR pile is now classified as an architectural hazard.

Crafting

If it can be sewn, glued, painted, or stitched—I’ve tried it, possibly while caffeinated. Bookbinding? Love it. Making plushies? Therapy with stuffing. Craft room or cursed gremlin lair? The line is blurry.

Worldbuilding

It's not just worldbuilding, it’s world-maintenance. I have detailed political systems for fictional countries and no idea where my actual passport is. If you ask about my universe lore, clear your schedule.

Forensic Pathology

I went from dissecting crime scenes to dissecting characters—emotionally and literally. I can tell you how a body decays and how a villain falls in love. CSI meets tragic backstory, with bonus trauma.

Parenting

I didn’t choose the chaos—my twins summoned it. Parenting is 80% snack negotiations, 20% questioning your life choices in the dark. My hobbies include hiding in the bathroom and narrating children’s tantrums like a National Geographic special.
